Pettus Hart Rudd, Sr.; owner and broker-in-charge of Tanglewood Realty, is a Mecklenburg County, Virginia native. “Pete”, as called by friends has over 45 years experience and is considered to be the Dean of the Brokers here having developed a total of 22 subdivisions. He offers his clients and agents an abundance of knowledge in the field of real estate.

Pete has maintained an active role in our community and local government over the years. He served 9 years as a trustee and 2 years as Chairman of our local hospital. He has served on the Board of Zoning Appeals in Mecklenburg County and is a trustee and past Deacon of Olive Branch Baptist Church. Pete and wife Georgie had 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 2 step grandchildren.

Pete Rudd, Jr. is part owner of Tanglewood Land Company. He has been a resident of Mecklenburg County for over 50 years. Pete is the proud father of 3 children. He personally enjoys horses, trail riding, water-related activities, hunting and fishing.

Pete Jr. was elected to the Board of Supervisors for Mecklenburg County, VA for 3 terms. He is currently serving on the Roanoke River Service Authority, Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services Board, Mecklenburg-Brunswick County Regional Airport Board and the Mecklenburg County advisory board for First Citizens Bank. He is a real estate Broker in North Carolina and Virginia.
